This LO is very fussy when looked at besides some of the more simplistic ones we often post – but the Crate Paper, On Trend Collection kit is so full of beautiful papers it is a shame not to spend a little longer on a LO. There are lots of layers made with two scoops background sanded to distress, some LYB doilies, Tim Holtz Stamps, Inking, Rosette, paper rosebuds, embellishments from the kit and more – wow how cool is that. We just love these cute photos and how the page comes together to showcase these two special girls – G & F (Gwyneth & Felicity).
This is one of Bronwyns LO, a photo taken when she was in the South Island, over 2 years ago. Kraft is such a great go to Cardstock for a background colour, add some stamping with a Tim Holtz Bitty Grunge stamp and it looks fantastic, (one of my favorite stamp sets). Of course washi tape is a great “go to” to add to any LO and put that with some embossed stamping and twine and this LO looks wonderful. The lettering is a Sizzix die – Once upon a time.
This LO was inspired by a magazine cut out. The photo is of my son Ethan – it was taken just before he left to go to Waikato for University. The LO is kind of fussy for me – but I really enjoyed scruffying it up abit. Crumb Cake is definitely my go to for a background and it works well with the linen thread here.
This LO is of my Dad when he was on his trip around the South Island – the trip was on his ‘bucket list”. I really like the Spice Cake DSP and have used it on lots of LOs both masculine and feminine. The Cupcake Punch is fantastic for clouds, I have used these lots too. I stamped the background card stock with the Spiced Paisley stamp set, used my Cutter Kit to scruffy the edges of my DSP, inked some cupcake “clouds”, added some Seam Binding ribbon in Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake (sounds yummy .. lol), an antique brad and a sentiment.
This is a LO of my Dad, who passed away 2 days after this photo was taken in May 2003. I have only just started scrapping photos of him again and the LOs usually sit on my desk for weeks before I finally finish them. The words on this page sum up how I feel at this time of the year when we are enjoying the holidays and family time -“just missing you”. I didn’t want to over do this LO, so I used the Smooch Spritz Gold Glow and sprayed over some punched hearts I’d temporarily attached to the page with Dotto, once they had been removed a mask effect was created. The onboard heart shape and letters were also sprayed with the smooch spritz. All the edges are sponged with ink to soften. A regal button and an antique brad and we’re done. Hope you like.
